Clean Water State Revolving Fund and Drinking Water State Revolving Fund: ARRA funding provides an additional $4 billion for assistance to help communities with water quality and wastewater infrastructure needs and an additional $2 billion for drinking water infrastructure needs.
These programs work by providing a revolving fund to make low-interest loans (typically 2.2%) to local authorities. The municipal bond market is still recovering and interest rates are higher than usual, so this is a pretty good deal. The initiative must come from local authorities and you can help shape that initiative.
